An overview of the typical steps we follow through our website design process.
1 – Introduction
- Discuss your goals and objectives.
- Review competition or other precedents.
- Explore current website hosting arrangements (if needed).
- Review current website (if needed).
2 – Quote & Agreement
- Written quote.
- Commencement deposit invoice to secure our time commitment to your project (typically 33% of project fees).
3 – Media Production
- Collate media files (logos, photos, images, video, branding, etc…) or produce if needed.
4 – Copywriting and SEO
- Draft website page map & structure.
- Prepare Advanced SEO Strategy (optional extra).
- Build up website text content document based on your business & services overview.
- Add copywriting overlay (optional extra).
- Client review and proof read of text document – we think of this as an ‘offline’ or text based build up of the website that helps us focus on SEO and content before the graphic side of web design.
5 – Mockup Design
- Design the Home page and menu system to bed down website design language.
- Client review and approval of the Home page (maximum of 3 design revisions).
- Progress invoice to 66% of project the fees.
6 – Website Build
- Build out all pages, and place text and images.
- Client review and approval of working draft website (maximum of 2 design revisions per page).
7 – Launch Website
- Launch website, including testing and quality checking.
- Remaining Search Engine Optimisation tasks (SEO).
- Progress invoice for remaining fees.
8 – Ongoing Maintenance
- Payment of ongoing software licences.
- 24/7 automated uptime monitoring.
- Software updates & maintenance.
- Advanced web security scan and firewall.
- Web site cloud backups.
